An easy walk inland from the village of La Ermita up to the imposing dam on the Rio Amadorio with beautiful views of the mountains, catching a few curiosities on the way.
The brilliantly colourful fishermen's houses in the old town are the iconic image of Villajoyosa. But there's much more to the "casco antiguo" than just the picture postcard seafront. Take a stroll through the narrow streets and pretty squares to sample the atmosphere of the old town and absorb a little of its history.
Stroll along Villajoyosa seafront, across the river and out to the ruined clifftop tower at Malladeta for a spectacular view along the coast.
Spectacular walk from the pleasant shingle beach of Torres along the rugged coastline to the 16th century watchtower of Torre d’Aguiló, from where you get stunning views of the skyscrapers of Benidorm.
This 45 minute stroll from Villajoyosa to Torres is a nice mix of cliff top walking, beautiful sea views and a little history.
A gem of a walk to Albir Lighthouse along the slopes of the Serra Gelada nature reserve with an amazing panorama across the bay to Altea.
